Barry Roberts

Barry Roberts is an electronics engineer by profession and has spent almost his entire career in the computer services industry holding senior management positions.

In 1986 Barry started ICM Computer Group plc and went on to lead the company, in May 1998, to a successful full listing of the Company’s shares on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. ICM Computer Group plc was a market leading company in the fields of Managed Services, Business Continuity and Data Centre Hosting Services, employing over 800 staff. As Chief Executive of the company Barry successfully led the company through its first 8 years as a listed company prior to leaving in 2005. In 2007 ICM Computer Group plc was acquired by Phoenix IT Group plc in a transaction that valued ICM in excess of £100 million.

After leaving ICM Barry worked as an independent business consultant and spent a period as Non-Executive Chairman of Expansys plc. In 2009 Barry was a member of the management group which acquired Concorde Informatics Limited and took up the position as Non-Executive Chairman of Concorde. As Chairman of Concorde Group Barry has been instrumental in guiding the Company through its period of transition.
