Neil Roberts

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Neil Roberts has held senior IT leadership roles as Lead Enterprise Architect and as Consultant to some of the largest companies in the UK. During his 21 year career he has served the Banking, Pharmaceutical, Government and Retail sectors leading large scale transformation, communication and cloud computing projects.

Mr Roberts has experience of working in many highly complex environments including– multi-site, multi-national and multi-vendor on technically disparate platforms in organisations with more than 1,000 plus users.

Mr Roberts started his IT Career as an Apprentice at ICM Computer Group working in the remedial repair of IT systems during the early 1990’s. As IT rapidly developed and changed, Mr Roberts’ career moved into computer networking and leading the adoption of Internet services to ICM customers. As communications grew, Mr Roberts developed the NetServ division of the Group, which became a leading consultative practice in the Cisco and HP networking arena. He also led the drive of ICM Computer Group’s Cloud and Internet Services division from concept to circa 10m revenue before moving onto starting his own consultative practice in 2007.

Mr Roberts led a multi-year engagement for the total design and delivery of an IT & Business strategy and UK data centre build for Masternaut UK Limited. As part of the project Mr Roberts assisted in Masternaut’s acquisition of Fibrecity, a leading IT solutions and ISP provider. Once acquired Mr Roberts re-aligned the Fibrecity team towards a changed business strategy, saving over £2m while also vastly upgrading the IT systems and Hosting services they provided.

In 2009 Mr Roberts invested in the acquisition of Concorde Informatics Limited, a Specialist HP partner in the north of England, and for a short period consulted to some of its clients before being asked to join the board as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. In 2012 Mr Roberts was asked to take the role of Group Managing Director and led the company to transformation from its historic shape to one of the UK’s best independent IT Services, Solutions and Support Providers.

Today Concorde Technology Group is the engine room of a number of companies that sit under the Concorde Excel Holdings umbrella and now is a strong and established nationwide provider of IT Support and Maintenance, IT Infrastructure Solutions and Cloud and Managed Services. The future strategy is now to expand and develop this further in scale and capability.

Mr Roberts has successful experience in two trade sales, one BIMBO and five acquisitions.
